BIRTHDAY PARTIES

The East Whitehouse Volunteer Fire Company offers birthday parties for children of all ages, and tours for anyone in our community. Parties take place in the engine bay, surrounded by the fire engines and firefighting gear, so children can get a sense of a working fire station.

During the party, volunteers will do a safety talk, not only covering fire safety, but including general child safety. Children and adults are welcome to explore the fire trucks and equipment. Firefighters are on hand to answer your questions.

Each party includes a tour of the fire station as well as a ride on one of our in-service fire engines. There is a demonstration on how the fireman puts on his/her gear and how it keeps him/her safe, and the children are taught that they don't need to be afraid of the fireman.

Parties are normally about 2 hours long and we have available times of 12-2 or 1-3. The fire department does not supply food or drinks, but each child will receive a "goodie bag" of fire-related items. You are welcome to bring food, cake and beverages. We will do our best to make this a fun day for your child and their friends!
